How we construct a book

We reject the rapid, disposable nature of modern publishing. Our books are meant to be held, kept, and passed down. We treat physical literature as a permanent sanctuary for human contemplation.

Acid-free archival paper

We construct our pages using premium paper designed to resist yellowing and deterioration for over a century.

Smyth-sewn bindings

Every signature is individually sewn into the spine, allowing the book to lay completely flat on your desk without cracking.

Direct compensation

We provide our essayists and philosophers with half of all direct revenue, ensuring sustainable creative careers.

Frequent inquiries

We believe in absolute transparency. Here are some answers about our curation, physical production, and global delivery systems.

How often are new volumes issued?

We publish exactly four new volumes each calendar year. This deliberate pace allows our editorial board to focus on rigorous review, artistic design, and quality printing.

Do you offer digital editions?

No. Our content is written and formatted specifically for physical appreciation. We believe the tactile weight, paper scent, and page texture are vital to the contemplative process.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship our custom book orders to readers worldwide from our central distribution hub located in Québec. Each parcel is wrapped in protective, recyclable paper packaging.
